Tektronix wins ‘Palmarès technologique de Mesures 2012’ and ‘15ème édition des Electrons d'Or’ Awards in France

World's First Mixed Domain Oscilloscope Continues to Gain Worldwide Industry Recognition

BRACKNELL, UK - Sept 19, 2012 - Tektronix, a leading manufacturer of oscilloscopes, announced today that the MDO4000 Mixed Domain Series oscilloscope has won two prestigious awards in France -- the 17th Palmarès technologique de Mesures 2012 award in the category of Instrumentation and the 15ème éditon des Electrons d'Or' award in the instrumentation electroniques category. With these two new awards wins, the MDO4000 has been recognized globally with 12 prestigious industry awards.

The MDO4000 was selected unanimously by a jury of experts from both industry magazines in France - Mesures (www.mesures.com) and Electroniques (www.electroniques.biz). The judges commented, "Tektronix has uniquely combined the functions of an oscilloscope and a spectrum analyser in a single instrument. The resulting MDO4000 mixed domain oscilloscope provides an industry first capability to capture time-correlated analog, digital and RF signals for complete system visibility."

"We are honored that the MDO4000 has been recognized with these prestigious awards," said Trevor Smith, Technical Marketing Manager Oscilloscopes at Tektronix EMEA. "We believe that the MDO4000 Series is the most revolutionary product to hit the oscilloscope market in the last 20 years and this nomination showcases our dedication to delivering game changing products that help engineers do their job."

Introduced on August 30th 2011, the MDO4000 Series is tailored to meet the needs of the more than 60 percent of oscilloscope users who also use a spectrum analyzer to troubleshoot embedded designs with wireless functionality. As the first oscilloscope ever to integrate the functionality of a spectrum analyzer, the MDO4000 provides a unique toolset which can save days or even weeks of debug time.
